Volunteer for the 2016 Uluru Run & Trek

Volunteer Roles

Having a great team of volunteers is crucial to the success of the Uluru Run and Trek. There are a wide variety of roles to suit volunteers from all walks of life. Volunteers will have an amazing week (or fortnight)-long experience in the outback, and will be included in all the fun, so it's a great way to participate and lend a helping hand at the same time!

If you would like to be a volunteer at the 2016 Uluru Run, Uluru Trek- or both! please complete the Volunteer Application Form by 3rd April 201.

Some volunteer roles that require filling are:

Checkpoint Staff - set up and staff the remote course check points. Includes set up shade shelter, timing area and water supply. Work with the medical team to monitor the condition of the runners.
Camp Staff - general tasks around camp including setting up the runner tents, officials / timing tent, medical tent, toilets, water supply etc.
Marshals – Direct runners in the right direction on the course and communicate with Event Managers via radio.
Sweeps - Follow the last runners and clear the course markers on foot. This would suit any level of runner or a strong walker.
Medical Team (Doctors, Paramedics, First Aiders, Nurses) - work with the medical and safety directors to provide runner monitoring, preventative health care, first aid and medical response to runners on the course and in camp.
General Duties & Administration - Assist with event administration and coordination, kitchen duties, IT and any other general duties that arise during the event.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own 4WD’s to get around the course.

Volunteer Benefits

As a volunteer you will receive an event crew shirt and cap, tent accommodation if required, pre and post event camping accommodation at the Voyages resort campsite, pre and post event dinners, plus breakfasts and dinners at camp campsite entertainment,  and of course you get to be involved in supporting these amazing and inspiring events, which are held in this iconic region on aboriginal land, that is not otherwise accessible to the public.

Volunteers will also receive 10% off  entry fees for future  Uluru runs or treks if they would like to come back in the future as a participant.

If you would like to be a volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Application Form by 3rd April 2016. If you have any questions about volunteering, please don't hesitate to contact us.
